Ahmadiyya Abode of Peace Inc. was incorporated in the Province of Ontario on April 29, 1991 without share capital. The objective of the Corporation is to provide affordable housing accommodation.
The Corporation owns and operates a 166 unit non-profit housing project and is a participant in the Housing Stability Services Program which is funded by the City of Toronto as governed by the Ontario Housing Services Act (HSA) formerly the Ontario Social Housing Reform Act (SHRA).
The Corporation qualifies as a not-for-profit organization which is exempt from income tax under the Canadian Income Tax Act.
